What is Arnuity Ellipta used for?
Arnuity Ellipta (Fluticasone)is an inhaled corticosteroid (ICS) medicine that can prevent asthma attacks and manage coughing, wheezing and shortness of breath associated with asthma. This medication works in the lungs to reduce swelling of the airways which makes breathing easier. This medication needs to be used consistently every day to be effective. Arnuity Ellipta is not used to treat sudden breathing problems or sudden symptoms of asthma. You will need a quick relief inhaler to treat sudden symptoms. Your doctor will advise you how often it should be used. If you find yourself relying on your quick-relief inhaler talk to your doctor. This is used for individuals that are five years of age or older. Stress (including car accidents, infection, surgery or worse asthma symptoms/adrenal insufficiency) may be harmful.
