Use of Dapsone (Aczone) Gel
Use a mild/soapless cleanser to gently clean and dry the affected areas before and after applying this medication. It is usually used once or twice a day, depending on the brand of the medication, to apply a small amount in a thin layer to the affected skin areas. Keep your eyes and lips away from the area.
Keeping this medication away from your mouth/nose/groins/vaginal areas is a precaution. Only apply it to the skin.
It is recommended to avoid getting this medication in your eyes. If this occurs, you must flush your eyes with large quantities of water. If your eyes become irritated, you should contact your doctor or pharmacist. Avoid accidentally getting the medication in your eyes by washing your hands after using the medication.
Make sure you use this product regularly and at the same time every day in order to get the most benefit from it. Ensure that you do not exceed the recommended dosage or use it more frequently than directed. Side effects are more likely to occur and your skin will not improve faster.
When 12 weeks have passed, tell your doctor if your condition hasn't improved or has gotten worse.
