Use of Metolazone?
Take this medication by mouth, once a day. You can take it with or without food. It is best to take it at least 4 hours before bedtime.
If you stop taking this medication without talking to your doctor, your blood pressure may go back up. It may take up to 3-6 weeks to see a lowering of your blood pressure. If you miss a dose you can take it when you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, you can skip your missed dose and continue with your schedule.
Do not take this medication with cholestyramine or colestipol. These drugs can decrease the absorption of the medicine.
Talk to your doctor if you are pregnant, breast feeding or plan to become pregnant. The drug may harm an unborn child or pass to breast milk.
If your condition lasts or gets worse, tell your doctor or pharmacist. Store at room temperature away from children and animals when not in use.
