What is Pitavastatin (Livalo) prescribed for?
Livalo is prescribed (in conjunction with a proper diet) to lower "bad" cholesterol and fats (such as LDL and triglycerides). It also raises "good" cholesterol (HDL). It belongs to a group of drugs known as "statins. The treatment reduces cholesterol production in the liver.
