What is Zaditen prescribed for?
Zaditen is usually prescribed for short term treatment of the symptoms of seasonal allergic conjunctivitis. This includes itchy, watery or swollen eyes and/or eyelids. This anti-allergy medication reduces asthma symptoms by reducing the body's reaction to allergens (substances that trigger allergic responses). Using this medication regularly can take several weeks before you notice any benefit from preventing asthma attacks caused by these allergens.

Use of Zaditen
Asthma medications may reduce the frequency, severity, and duration of asthma symptoms or attacks in children. It works best when taken daily and combined with other antihistamine medications.
It may come in tablets or eye drops. Call your doctor for advice on the recommended dose for either formulation of the product. The usual dose is 1 tablet or one drop in each affected eye once daily. It works to prevent allergic symptoms for 12 hours. The dropper tip does not need to be washed between uses.
